Plan B has a long history of setting the rules for the whole game in skateboarding. Founded back in 1991, the company released massively influential skateboarding videos that are still considered classics by many skaters today. If you’re a fan of street skating in particular, this brand has done wonders for you: Rodney Mullen, the big “Godfather of Street Skating,” showed off many of his signature tricks on rails and stairs in Plan B videos. In other words, they weren’t just a leading brand around the world for skater merchandise; they defined a lot of the trends and styles still seen and replicated in skate videos to this day.
The company did fade from the spotlight for 11 years, but they came back with a vengeance in the early 2000s and have been dominating again ever since. Many big pro names are now associated with Plan B, and their hiatus has done nothing to taint the respect they still command in the community.
You’ll find both Plan B completes and decks available for sale on our site. Plan B skateboards have lighter decks than the standard model, which allows for easier, longer holds on some tricks. Some of their unique designs also feature a “slick bottom” style, allowing you to glide across objects smoothly.
Skateboarding can be a confusing sport sometimes. The different styles all have different specifications for wheelbases, trucks, wheels, and decks. The right gear varies greatly with your body type too, much more than many other sports. That’s why we at Skate Connection are happy to help answer any doubts you might have about what you’re looking for or should be looking for. You can find our contact details under “Contact Us” at the bottom of this page.
