Which bar is best for you?
When you’re looking at scooter bars for sale, you need to know which bar is best for your scooter. So, there are a few things you have to consider:
- Standard or oversized bar? Which sized bar you need is personal preference. A standard bar has an outer diameter of 32mm and an inner diameter of 28mm. Oversized bars have an outer diameter of 35mm and an inner diameter of either 28mm or 32mm.
- Which materials? The main materials used in scooter bars are steel, aluminium and titanium and each have their own advantage over the others. Steel bars are a bit heavier than the others, but a lot stronger and more durable for new stunt riders. Aluminium is a very light metal, so it is good for air tricks, but it is not as strong as steel. Titanium bars are more expensive than the aluminium and steels bars. However, they are both lightweight and durable.
- Y-bar or T-bar? These are the two main shapes of scooter bar; however, there are a range of variants of each type. The Y-bar is made up of three pieces of metal, welded together to make a Y shape. The T-bar consists of two pieces of metal, welded to make a T shape. Some T-bars are reinforced for added durability, but which you choose is down to personal taste – there aren’t many differences between the two.

You can pay for your new bars weekly or fortnightly for as long as you need to, and the bars are still yours from the start!
